AI Innovator Collaborative

About the Program

The AI Innovator Collaborative — part of ONA’s AI in Journalism Initiative — is a regular gathering for ONA members using AI in journalism to connect and share ideas.

Join the Collaborative if you’re an ONA member who is using AI tools in your work — even if you’re not an expert! Meetings happen virtually once a month on the second Tuesday of each month. Participants have access to a Slack channel to connect between meetings. See all upcoming meetings 

How to join

If you're a current ONA member: Log in to your account at journalists.org/login. (If you haven't accessed your membership through our new website yet, you may need to follow the prompts to set up a password.) Go to your Member Compass or click your name at the top right to get there. Click Update your Profile, then under ONA Groups and Communities, check the box next to Join AI Innovator Collaborative.

If you're not currently an ONA member: First, join ONA as a member. If you already have a free account through our website and you're logged in, you can also click Join Now at the top right of your Member Compass page. When you purchase your ONA membership, you'll see a checkbox on the Key Info page under the ONA Groups and Communities header to indicate you'd like to join the AI Innovator Collaborative. Just check that box and you'll be added to the group. You can update this at any time using the instructions above to edit your profile.
