Astrid Csuraji

Astrid heads tactile.news. The Lueneburg-based innovation lab is dedicated to fostering radical listening between media outlets and their distant target audiences. Her team prototypes around AI to enhance journalism as listening service whether it is through their own messenger platform 100Eyes or their AI-driven conversational bench.
Astrid has co-founded tactile.news in 2018 to bring journalism onto children’s toys and into the internet of things. Prior to that, Astrid spent more than 15 years teaching young journalists and working as a reporter.
Astrid holds an MA in Cultural Science from the University of Lueneburg and was an Erasmus fellow at the University of Bologna, Italy. She was also a fellow of the Konrad Adenauer Foundation's journalism program. Her work has been recognized with awards including the Axel Springer Prize for Young Journalists.
