Bianca Pallaro

Bianca Pallaro is a data and investigations reporter at The New York Times, where she combines traditional reporting with data analysis to uncover abuses of power and violations of public trust. Since joining the Times in 2024, she has reported on Chinese meddling in local and state elections, uncovered a State Assembly candidate's scheme to obtain more than $160,000 in taxpayer dollars, which led to a criminal prosecution, and shed light on systemic torture inside New York State prisons. Pallaro joined the Times from THE CITY, a nonprofit news organization in New York, where she led data-driven investigations that exposed wrongdoing and drove real-world impact. Earlier, she worked on USA Today's data journalism team and completed a year-long contract on the Times' Upshot desk. Before moving to the United States in 2020 for her master's at Columbia, she spent nearly five years as a senior data reporter at La Nación in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
