Professional Bio

Megan Pratz is an award-winning journalist with experience in television, radio and digital news. Currently senior political editor at NPR, she focuses on election coverage and identifying political trends and reaction to what's happening in Washington. She works with a team of reporters on national political coverage for NPR's radio, digital and podcast platforms. Prior to joining NPR, she was political director and executive producer at the start-up streaming channel Cheddar News where she oversaw the Washington Bureau, supervising political coverage and hosting the flagship political news program, Cheddar News. She has also worked in international news programming for CGTN and Al Jazeera and produced a weekly talk show for PBS. She is a proud graduate of the University of Maryland and its Philip Merrill College of Journalism where she earned a dual degree in broadcast journalism and psychology.
