Professional Bio
Sophiko Vasadze is the Creative Director of Coda Story and co-founder of the ZEG Tbilisi Storytelling Festival and ZEG Network, a global storytelling and collaboration platform exploring the future of journalism, democracy, technology, and civic discourse.
An award-winning documentary filmmaker and executive producer, Sophiko has more than a decade of experience in broadcast journalism and multimedia storytelling. Before joining Coda Story, Sophiko served as Executive Producer and anchor at Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty’s Georgian Service. She previously spent more than seven years at the Georgian Public Broadcaster as a producer and reporter.
At Coda Story, Sophiko helped shape the organization’s visual journalism approach before becoming Creative Director, where she now leads storytelling strategy across platforms and formats. Through ZEG and the ZEG Network, she works at the intersection of journalism, live experiences, art, and technology — creating spaces for urgent global conversations and new forms of audience engagement.
Sophiko holds a Master’s degree in Media Management and completed advanced studies in Media Management and Media Studies at the Stockholm School of Economics.
