Event Details
As journalists, we've mastered the art of telling other people's stories. But when it comes to telling our own, many of us either don't know where to start or end up burying the lede. Whether you work in-house or have set out on your own, this session from brand builder and storytelling coach Renee Frojo will help you understand how to building a brand around yourself is the most effective way to reach new audiences, build loyalty around your work, and amplify your impact. It's not just important to help your work get seen—it's important for the future of journalism. With so much misinformation in this brave new media world, we need more truthseekers and truth tellers in the feed helping us care about the causes that matter most.
Speaker
Renee Frojo is a former business journalist turned brand builder, speaker and storytelling coach. After more than 10 years of reporting on entrepreneurs, she decided to become one herself. But, shortly after launching, she realized that while she was skilled at finding others' stories, she never properly learned how to tell her own. And when you're the brand, what you know matters much less than who you are and how you got there—especially in the age of AI. So now she leads with her story and teaches others how to do the same.
