The Online News Association is deeply troubled by recent mass layoffs at The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, The Washington Post and other organizations.

ONA stands with journalists across every impacted newsroom. Journalism is vital to meeting public information needs and sustaining democracy. In moments of disruption, ONA’s focus is on connection, access and long-term resilience — the same principles that guide our work year-round.

Whether or not you are an ONA member, ONA is here for you. To provide timely support, ONA is offering a limited number of free passes for ONA26, taking place in Chicago from March 30 -April 1. Please complete the form below so we can assist you.

Resources and opportunities for those impacted in our community include:

  • Career Center: We highly encourage those impacted to explore the latest job postings, upload your resume, check out career advice, coaching, trainings and more.

  • Newsletters: Sign up for the ONA weekly newsletter, which includes job listings and community updates, in addition to our conference newsletter.

  • Events: Learn about and sign up for upcoming in-person and virtual events.

  • Membership: We are offering free one-year memberships and free one-year membership extensions to those impacted. If you are interested in this, please fill out the form below.
